We offer a consignment service for pieces where we are 100% sure about their authentication. We need to understand the history behind each piece and how it was acquired. If a piece will be consigned, we have two options - selling on the website or placing in a scheduled auction. For both options, we need to agree on a listing price. The piece will need to be sent to our ScreenUsed office in Florida so that we can take several photographs, locate screen captures if possible, and write up a description.
For items posted on the website
When the item is sold, ScreenUsed retains 20% of the selling price and will send 80% to the consignor. Keep in mind that we offer payment plans, accept credit cards, PayPal payments, money orders, etc. ScreenUsed will handle all of the payment and shipping details, including PayPal and credit card fees. As a consignor, you will be paid immediately after we receive payment(s). Please keep in mind our payment plan can go up to 9 months for more expensive items, so you will be paid as quickly as we receive the payments from the customer (see below).
Below are the various installment options based on the total value of the order:
- Under $750 - 50% non-refundable deposit and a payment in 1 month
- $750 and higher - 25% non-refundable deposit and 3 monthly payments
- $3000 and higher - 25% non-refundable deposit and 6 monthly payments
- $5000 and higher - 25% non-refundable deposit and 9 monthly payments
For items sold in a scheduled auction
The auctions are scheduled ahead of time, so please Check Our Auction page to find out when the next one may be scheduled. When the item is sold, ScreenUsed retains 15% of the hammer price and will send 85% of the hammer price to the consignor. There are no payment plans for auctions, and we expect payment from the buyers within 7 days. Assuming we are paid on time, we can send payment to you within a few days after the payment clears our account.
In addition, for both website and auction sales, each piece has a ScreenUsed COA, which really is not just a piece of paper, but it puts our name on the piece in case there is any problem in the future. Note that we do not supply COAs for crew items. Most importantly, we do not discuss our sources with anyone unless it's something you prefer. We currently have over 3800 active customers, all receiving a periodic newsletter with new items. We also have a subscription service that allows a customer to get instant notifications through email and text messages when an item they are looking for is posted on the website.
For our consignors, we will have your inventory online, which you can access whenever you would like through a secure login. You can view and print reports for the items we have received, the items we have posted, and what has sold, along with your current up-to-the-minute balance due to you.
