    ScreenUsed "Community" Auction

    - Pre-bidding starts Dec 17th

    - Live bidding starts Jan 7th

The ScreenUsed Community auction is now online and open for pre-bidding. The live auction will take place on January 7th, 2017 at 10am Pacific Time.

"Community" is a smart, exuberant comedy that was consistently ranked as one of the most inventive and original half hours on television. This ensemble comedy centers on a tight-knit group of friends who all met at what is possibly the world's worst educational institution - Greendale Community College.

At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), a fast-talking lawyer who was caught with a phony college degree. Disbarred until he could earn a legitimate degree, Winger chose Greendale, thinking he could breeze through the mediocre school without a hitch. However, he soon found himself the reluctant leader of a disparate group of misfits, all stuck at Greendale for different reasons.

The study group includes Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs, "Girls"), who dropped out of high school to "change the world" and soon found herself in her 30s with no marketable skills; Shirley Bennett (Yvette Nicole Brown, "The Odd Couple"), a religious housewife who landed at Greendale after a messy divorce and is now blossoming into a headstrong entrepreneur; Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi, "The Book Club"), a socially awkward but well-meaning pop-culture savant; Annie Edison (Alison Brie, "Mad Men"), a high-strung perfectionist; Troy Barnes (Donald Glover, "The Lazarus Effect"), a former high school football star still trying to find his way; Ben Chang (Ken Jeong, "The Hangover"), a former Spanish teacher who is either insane or an evil genius, or both; and Pierce Hawthorne (Chevy Chase, "Caddyshack", "National Lampoon's Vacation"), a millionaire who enrolls at Greendale out of boredom and a passive attempt at self-discovery.

At Greendale's helm is Dean Pelton (Jim Rash, "The Way Way Back"), an administrator whose ineptitude is matched only by his love of the school and his devotion to his students.

There are 107 lots in the auction, with items from the following actors:

  • Alison Brie as "Annie Edison"
  • Chevy Chase as "Pierce Hawthorne"
  • Danny Pudi as "Abed Nadir"
  • Donald Glover as "Troy Barnes"
  • Gillian Jacobs as "Britta Perry"
  • Jim Rash as "Dean Pelton"
  • Joel McHale as "Jeff Winger"
  • Josh Holloway as "Black Rider"

    Catalog

    ScreenUsed Live On-line Auction

    - Pre-bidding starts Nov 19th

    - Live bidding starts Dec 10th

The ScreenUsed Fall 2016 auction is now online and open for pre-bidding. The live auction will take place on December 10th, 2016 at 10am Pacific Time.

This is a new chapter for ScreenUsed - we are running all auctions directly on our website instead of using a third-party auction service. No more difficulties with multiple websites, two places to register, and confusing processes. Everything is on the ScreenUsed website from the catalog, item details, online pre-bidding for 3 weeks leading to the live auction date, running the live auction on the same ScreenUsed website, then lastly invoicing, payment, and shipment tracking all done in one place.

For those that have been following, we started running online Timed Daily Auctions on the website starting in September, 2016. At the moment, we are posting 15 new auction items every day from Monday through Friday. Each daily auction runs for 7 days - so this Monday's auction ends next Monday, and so on. Interest from all of you has been so good that consignors are queuing up their items for these Daily Auctions. Because we are spreading out the auction process daily, in addition to periodic Live Auctions, this means that the Live Auctions will be smaller and more concise. This Fall auction has 189 lots.

As usual, we have quite a variety of productions for this auction. Here are some highlights from the auction:

  • 300 - Immortal Mask And Hands
  • Addams Family Values - Gomez Addams' Suit (Raul Julia)
  • Alexander - Alexander's Outfit (Colin Farrell)

    September 18, 2016 - Auctions more often!

Our auction and website sales have consistently grown over the 13 years we have been in business, so now is the time for a new take on things. We are announcing today that all auctions, timed and live, will be run directly on the ScreenUsed website. This means no more iCollector issues, no registering in two places, and no difficult user interface. Most importantly, we can hold any sized auction at any time.

What you will start to see in a few weeks are auctions starting up any day of the week. Some of these auctions will run our typical 3 weeks, however many will run only 1 week. You no longer need to wait for our March, July, or November scheduled auctions. In order to be agile, we will save the auction catalogs for the scheduled auctions each year.

We take pride in the fact that we get our invoices out within 24 hours of each auction. With the new website design, everything is built in so that invoices will go out literally minutes after each auction closes.

Another new feature on the website is the ability to watch items. Each item has a small heart icon next to it, and when clicked, it will be saved in your watch list. This could be an auction item you would like to bid on later or an item for sale on the website that you want to think about.

Our new AUCTIONS tab on the website will show all of the currently running auctions, future scheduled auctions, as well as past scheduled auction results.

For detailed information about how the auctions work, see our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, and see the article named "How does the auction process work?".

    June 25, 2016 - Summer Auction

    Catalog

ScreenUsed On-line and Live Auction Scheduled for July 15-16, 2016 - 10am Pacific

For the past few auctions we have two completion days instead of one. As we gain more consignors, the quantity of lots for each auction is getting higher. Our goal has been to keep the live online auction to one day - it's just no fun attending an auction that goes on for many days. So here is how it works:

    - As always, all items, for both days, have about 3 weeks of bidding online, up until the two closing days on Friday, July 15th and Saturday, July 16th.
    - We have created a PDF catalog for the live auction only. However, several pictures for each item can be viewed on our ScreenUsed website or the iCollector website.

    Day 1, Friday, July 15th

Completion of lots 1 through 391 will start at 10am Pacific Time, and each lot will automatically end 1 minute apart. The auction will not allow sniping at the last second, so everyone has a fair chance to bid what they feel comfortable with. If an item receives a bid within the last 3 minutes, the end time will automatically be extended another 3 minutes. Each item displays the exact time it is scheduled to end, with each lot initially ending 1 minute apart. View all of these items on the ScreenUsed website or iCollector.

    Day 2, Saturday, July 16th

Completion of each lot will start at 8am Pacific time, and we will run the process manually. As each lot has its last call and once there are no more bidders, we will drop the hammer and close the lot, moving to the next lot. We will continue this way until all lots are closed. View all of these items on the ScreenUsed website or iCollector. A browser and PDF catalog has been created for this day below.

Timeless Luxury: Ninety Years of the Phantom

ScreenUsed is an official sponsor of Timeless Luxury: Ninety Years of the Phantom. The 192-page hardback publication explores the living legacy of the world's most famous marque, Rolls-Royce, along with the impact of one of its most iconic models. Written by a select group of motoring experts and enthusiasts, Timeless Luxury: Ninety Years of the Phantom has been produced by London-based publisher St James's House in partnership with the Rolls-Royce Owners' Club.

On April 1, 2015, more than 200 Rolls-Royce Owners' Club (RROC) members and VIP guests gathered for afternoon tea to celebrate the launch of Timeless Luxury: Ninety Years of the Phantom at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. Offering members and guests the opportunity to join St James's House for a very British afternoon tea, the book's launch was one of the highlights at the RROC's 64th Annual Meet - a major, week-long event that attracted owners and enthusiasts from across the country.

Below is the ScreenUsed article in the book.

    November 5, 2015 - Fall Auction

    Catalog

    ScreenUsed Live On-line Auction Scheduled for November 20-21, 2015 - 10am Pacific

We will hold our Fall auction on Friday and Saturday, November 20th and 21st, 2015 at 10am Pacific Time.

For those familiar with our auctions, you may notice for the first time, the auction will run for two days instead of one. In reality, we just recently held the Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Auction and it was two days as well, but a week apart. As we gain more consignors, the quantity of lots for each auction is getting higher. Our goal has been to keep the live online auction to one day - it's just no fun attending an auction that goes on for many days. So we came up with a plan:

    Day 1, Friday Nov 20th

Completion of each lot will start at 10am Pacific time, and each lot will automatically end 1 minute apart.

    Day 2, Saturday Nov 21st

Completion of each lot will start at 10am Pacific time, and we will run the process manually. As each lot has its last call and once there are no more bidders, we will drop the hammer and close the lot, moving to the next lot. We will continue this way until all lots are closed.

As always, all items for both days have about 3 weeks of bidding online, starting November 4th, up until the two closing days on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st. We have created a PDF catalog for the second day only. However, all items and several pictures for each item can be viewed on our ScreenUsed website or the iCollector website. There are no reserves on our lots so all bids count.

As usual, we have quite a variety of productions for this auction, with 600 items. Here are some additional highlights from the auction:

  • Back To The Future 2 - DeLorean Barcode License Plate
  • Battlestar Galactica (2004) (TV) - Male Raptor FlightSuit

Not only is it complete and in great screen worn condition, but this particular costume has the rare advantage of "screen matching". The Starfleet patch that is affixed to the chest has small imperfections all around it, and those imperfections match the scenes on the Blu-ray DVD exactly.

Second up is a phenomenal piece of music history - the studio guitar that was used for two iconic scenes in the first Back to the Future movie. Everyone knows the opening scene of Back to the Future when Marty tries Doc's amplifier and guitar, only to be literally blown away by the speaker. As well, the memorable scene when Marty is playing Johnny B. Goode at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. Well, we have the exact guitar used for recording these two scenes. It comes directly from Tim May, an accomplished studio musician, who provided the studio recordings for those scenes. The impressive list of historical recordings Tim has used this guitar on goes forever, but a few are Whitney Houston's "Saving All My Love", Lionel Richie's "All Night Long", and Blondie's "Call Me". It's pretty rare that we have a crossover piece between movies and music, but this is "pretty heavy".

There are no reserves on our lots; the starting price is where the auction starts. Here are some additional highlights from the auction:

  • Back To The Future - Studio Guitar Used for Johnny B. Goode
  • Back To The Future 2 - Biff's Jacket (Thomas F. Wilson)
  • Battlestar Galactica (2004) (TV) - Starbuck's Battle Dress Uniform (Katee Sackhoff)

  • Our mission:

Our main sales outlet is our website where we post new items on a daily basis, Monday through Friday. However, we also hold three auctions each year in March, July, and November. Our overall goal is to try and fill the gap between wholesale type auctions and high-end million dollar auctions.

For our auctions, we aim to keep the quantity of lots between 350-450. This keeps the auction within a single day, most likely about half a day. As well, to keep up with any changes to the lots in the auction, including description updates, we will keep a detailed online log of every single change to the lots in the auction. Invoices are sent to customers within 24 hours, and shipping begins the next business day, so be assured you will receive your new item(s) immediately.

So take your time and go through the catalog. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Email is always the best way to catch us, but if you prefer, we can get on the phone to chat as well. We look forward to another fun auction and wish you the best of luck in obtaining the next cool piece for your collection!

There are over 460 items in the auction. The auction catalog and details can be found on the AUCTION tab of the ScreenUsed website.

    February 18, 2013 - Spring Auction

ScreenUsed Live On-Line Auction Scheduled for March 9, 2013

We will continue with our unique offering of both the website and auctions. We continue to post new items on the website 5 days a week, and based on feedback from consignors we may hold 3 to 4 auctions per year.

There are no reserves on our lots; the starting price is where the auction starts. Here are some highlights from the auction:

  • Army of Darkness - Stop Motion Miniature Deadite
