Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness) guides intrepid Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on a valiant bid to save the captured Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) from Darth Vader (voiced by James Earl Jones). With his trusty droids and smuggler Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Skywalker must also destroy the Galactic Empire's all-powerful weapon: the Death Star.
This is an original hand-drawn pencil thumbnail drawing of the memorable Rebel Blockade Runner Space Vehicle, seen in the opening sequence of Star Wars, the first space craft seen in the film being pursued by a massive Star Destroyer. The 8" wide x 5" tall rendering was drawn on artists paper and depicts the Rebel Blockade Runner in the landing bay of the Star Destroyer after it has been taken possession of by the Empire. Small hand-written SPFX notations are present on the piece. The art has some minor wear and a few pinholes, but remains in overall good condition.
